How to Setup a Drive

Amove allows you to create unlimited virtual drives, connected to cloud accounts on your desktop. In this documentation, we will explore the steps to:

  • Navigate to Drive

  • Set up a Drive

  • Accessing the Drive Content on Local Desktop

Let's get started 🚀

Navigate to Drive

Step 1: Sign In to your Amove account and you will be navigated to the main dashboard.

Step 2: Click on the Drive button from top menu on the interface.

This will redirect you to the Drive Interface.

Set up a Drive Method 1

Step 1: Choose a cloud account to configure your drive from the available list of connected cloud accounts.

Alternatively, if you have not connected the desired cloud account yet, you can connect a new cloud account to Amove by clicking on the Connect button from top menu.

This will redirect you to the Accounts Interface. For more information on adding a new cloud account, please refer to the How to Add a Cloud Account documentation.

Note: You can change the cloud account you are using to set up the drive anytime before finishing the setup. Click on the Edit icon given against the Choose a Cloud field to update the cloud account you want to use for configuring your drive.

Step 3: Assign a name to your drive.

Step 4: Select a bucket from the drop-down list that will populate according to the chosen cloud account.

Step 5: Advance Settings

Step 6: After that, click on the Setup Drive button to finish the setup.

Note: All fields are mandatory. If you leave any field empty, the Setup Drive button will remain disabled. Once your Drive has been set up, you will see a flash message that “Your Drive has been set up successfully” and you will be redirected to the dashboard.

After success message it will redirect to Dashboard and show the Drive.

Set up a Drive Method 2

Step 1: Open connections menu from Dashboard.

Step 2: Choose a Cloud Account.

Step 3: Click on Create Drive button in front of bucket, you want to create a drive.

Step 4: Add Name your Drive.

Step 5: Select a cloud account from the dropdown menu.

Step 6: Select a bucket from the dropdown menu.

Step 7: Toggle the following options as necessary:

  • Root Bucket

  • Create New Folder

  • Choose Existing Folder

Step 8: You can setup the following options as necessary:

  • Number of files per folder

  • Enable file deletion in cloud account

  • Encrypt Local Cache

Step 9: Click Create Drive to finalize the drive creation.

Accessing the Drive Content on Local Desktop

Once your Drive has been set up, you can access its content from the selected local folder on your desktop.For example, while setting up the drive, the Amove buckets folder of Drive D on the local desktop is selected to download the cloud content.As soon as you open the selected local folder, you can view the content of the drive.
